Tax Planning Happens Before Tax Season
If you own a small business or farm, you probably don't spend much time thinking about your tax return in September. But this is actually one of the best times of year to start.
A year-end tax planning session can help you get a clearer picture of where you stand, what your 2026 tax liability may look like, and whether there are decisions worth considering before December 31. Depending on your situation, that might include retirement contributions, equipment purchases, business income and expenses, owner compensation, or simply making sure you're prepared for what you'll owe.
Tall Pines Tax & Advisory is a local CPA firm serving small businesses, farms, and individuals throughout Hartsville, Darlington County, Florence, and the P*e Dee. I work directly with my clients throughout the year, so when you call or email with a question, you're talking to the CPA who actually knows your business and prepares your return.
If you'd like to be more proactive about your taxes this year instead of waiting until filing season to see where you landed, I'm currently scheduling year-end tax planning appointments for fall 2026.
