Some good news!

April 15th most likely will not be the tax filing deadline for 2021. Officials with the Internal Revenue Service and the U.S. Department of the Treasury have said that the 2021 income tax filing and payment deadline will be pushed back, likely to May 17, 2021. More information to come once it's officially changed.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has announced that tax season will open on Friday, February 12, 2021.

The IRS will start accepting electronic & paper tax returns then. This is about two weeks later than they normally would. The delay allows the IRS time to do additional programming and testing of IRS systems following the December 27 tax law changes

If you are self-employed, with no employees, you can now qualify for the PPP Loan.

On April 14, 2020 the SBA issued new guidance for those who are self-employed and file a form 1040 Schedule C.
