Here is the official notice from the IRS.
Tax season starts Feb 12th this year. Thats the latest they had ever started Tax Season. Even if you file your return early. They will not process your return until this date.

Irs just put the first stimulus checks into your bank account today. It's $600 per each taxpayer plus dependents. Just got mine pending on my account for next week.

Anyone that hasn't filed a 2018 or 2019 tax return should file it to receive your stimulus. Any dependents 17 and over that do not file their own return do not qualify for the 500.

IRS updated their website. Anyone who is not required to file a return can enter their information now or I can process it for you for a small fee. Anyone that work is recommended to file a return so you can get a refund. SSI payees do not have to do anything. It will be automatic.

Mid april we will be able to check the status of our stimulus payments.

The new law for independent contractors for California. Must qualify under the ABC test. Be careful who you provide a 1099 to. There will be hefty fines.

Fyi: Anyone that claims Earned Income Credit or Additional Child Tax credit there will be delays on getting your refund. Refunds will not be issued till Feb 22.

Please beware of fake IRS letters and phone calls. Now the new thing these scammers have is fake IRS letters now.
If you get anything from the IRS, please forward it to me, so we can verify that it is real.

A little mistake can cost you or make you lose money that belongs to you. Don't always trust a computer to do the job for you by doing taxes yourself. A professional Tax Preparer like me is always aware of the maximum credits and deductions that an online software may not always find for you. You may think you are saving money, but you may be losing money in the end. I have had to amend multiple tax returns done by a software and got them much more. You wouldn't trust a robot to perform surgery why trust a computer with your finances?
