Last week, Rachel Biggerstaff, Partner and Senior Wealth Advisor, and Jacqueline Garneau, Chief Marketing Officer, joined more than 100 women leaders at Advisors Excel's Inspiring Women Conference in Savannah, Georgia.

Filled with meaningful conversations, fresh perspectives, and opportunities to learn from one another, the conference was a wonderful reflection of one of our core values, Thrive Through Growth.

At Wood Financial Group, we believe the more we learn, the more we can bring back to the people we serve. Opportunities like this encourage us to keep improving, embrace new ideas, and find meaningful ways to better serve our clients and the communities we call home.

And next year, that exchange of ideas will come full circle as Rachel returns to the Inspiring Women Conference as a keynote speaker. We're excited to see her take the stage and bring her own experiences and perspectives to the conversation.

Today, we’re celebrating Jaclyn Stamps, our Training & Special Projects Manager, on her 4-year anniversary with Wood Financial Group! 🎉

Over the past four years, Jaclyn’s journey at WFG has been shaped by growth, learning and a willingness to step in wherever she’s needed. Having worked across a variety of roles, she’s gained a unique perspective on how different parts of our firm work together, and she now uses that experience to help make our team even stronger.

That’s one of the things Jaclyn enjoys most about her role: no two days are quite the same. Whether she’s collaborating with different teams, taking on a new challenge or finding ways to make a process run more smoothly, she loves being someone others can turn to for help and knowing her work can make a meaningful difference.

Some of her favorite memories come at the end of our busiest seasons, when the team can look back on everything they accomplished together. For Jaclyn, those moments reflect what makes WFG special: a shared commitment to our clients and to supporting one another along the way.

She’s especially proud of the path that led her to her current role. The experience she gained throughout the firm helped prepare her to take on projects like developing our year-round internship program and helping build out our new CRM, while also giving her the opportunity to invest in the growth of others.

It’s fitting that Jaclyn’s favorite WFG core value is Thrive Through Growth. It’s a value she says she has lived firsthand. Every role has given her an opportunity to learn, develop and take on something new, and now she gets to pay that growth forward by helping other team members build their skills and reach their own goals.

Outside the office, Jaclyn enjoys spending time with friends and her dogs, getting lost in a good book and catching live music whenever she can. And one fun fact you may not expect: she earned her black belt in karate at just 12 years old!

Jaclyn, thank you for the energy, versatility and heart you’ve brought to Wood Financial Group over the past four years. We’re grateful for all the ways you support our team and help others grow along the way.

Join Jackson Weeks for our free webinar, Taxes in Retirement: What You Do Before Year-End Matters. He’ll explain how your tax opportunities change at each stage of retirement and finish with a practical five-step year-end action plan.

No two retirements are exactly alike, so why should every retirement plan be?

Rachel Biggerstaff, Partner and Senior Wealth Advisor at Wood Financial Group, discusses why your retirement strategy should reflect your unique goals, priorities, and circumstances.

Today, we’re celebrating Kevin McCann, our Chief Compliance Officer, on his 1-year anniversary with Wood Financial Group! 🎉

For Kevin, doing the right thing and helping others grow have always gone hand in hand. That perspective shapes both how he approaches his role and what he values most about WFG. He values being part of a team that shares his commitment to doing the next right thing and creating an environment where everyone who walks through our doors feels welcomed and appreciated.

That same commitment to people is also behind one of Kevin’s proudest accomplishments: helping develop our team through training and education. After more than 30 years in the financial services industry, he still finds it rewarding to watch newer team members build their knowledge, grow into their roles and gain confidence along the way.

It’s fitting that Kevin’s favorite WFG core value is Thrive Through Growth. In an industry that continues to evolve, he believes ongoing learning is essential. By staying current, continuing to develop and sharing that knowledge with others, our team is better equipped to serve and educate the families who count on us.

And when Kevin isn’t focused on compliance or helping our team grow, you’ll likely find him playing disc golf with friends, camping on a cool fall day or working on a puzzle indoors. But one of the titles that means the most to him has nothing to do with work: being a girl dad to three daughters he couldn’t be prouder of.

Kevin, thank you for the knowledge, care and commitment you’ve brought to WFG over the past year. We’re grateful to have you on our team!

The tax questions you ask before December 31 could shape more than just this year’s return.

Our latest blog covers 6 important tax questions retirees and pre-retirees should consider before 2026 ends, including taxable income, Roth conversions, Social Security, Medicare, investment gains and losses, and charitable giving.

The goal isn’t to make a move just because the calendar is running out. It’s to make sure the right questions have been asked while there is still time to act.
