As of January 1, 2026,
1099NEC filing requirement for Payers threshold changes to $2,000 from $600. If you are a 1099NEC recipient, this doesn't mean you do not have to file the income under $2,000, the payer doesn't have to issue a form to you. You still must track your payments and file if over $400.
Also, 1099K reporting reverts back to $20,000. This is the form for credit card processing.

Just a few reminders this tax season:

1. If you have marketplace insurance or Georgia Access, please remember your 1095A.
2. If you have established an Identity Protection Pin with the IRS, please remember to submit to your preparer.
3. Yes, the intake form/interview is required.
4. If you have overtime pay and the employer did not include the overtime pay in box 14 of your w2, your last paystub should show your overtime for the year.
5. If you are looking to claim the interest deduction for a new vehicle purchased in 2025, please make sure it's final assembly is in the US. It's a personal vehicle. It's a loan and not a lease. It's purchase date is after December 31 2024 and have a GVWR under 14k lbs. Please have the loan paperwork or 1098 from bank.
