Today marks the final day of our Summer Internship Program! While we’re sad to see our interns go, we couldn’t be more proud of the growth, dedication, and enthusiasm they’ve shown over the past few months.
 
We’re beyond grateful to have played a part in their professional journeys and can’t wait to see where their next chapters take them.

Last Tuesday, our firm joined Surfrider Foundation for a beach cleanup! 🌊
 
While this video is lighthearted, we’re grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact in our community. Together, our team collected 300 pounds of trash and helped make our local beach park a cleaner place.
 
It was also a great opportunity to step away from the office, spend time together as a team, and give back to the community we’re proud to be part of.

🥰Happy Employee Appreciation Day to our team and all the employees out there! 
 
🏓We spent last Friday celebrating by playing a friendly competition of pickle ball with everyone! Congratulations to ‘The Tax Interns’ for placing 1st in our beginner division and ‘Bulgogi Boiz’ for winning our Intermediate/Advanced Division. 
 
🙌A huge mahalo to Pickles At Forté for hosting and helping us create a memorable event for our team. We hope everyone had fun playing pickleball!

We had such a great time at our Professional Interaction Night this past Friday! 🎳✨

Hosted at Lucky Strike, the night was filled with bowling, great food (including an ice cream bar), and most importantly meaningful connections with college students from across the island.

We are excited to welcome Alysha Rothstein to the firm as a B&T Associate!

Alysha recently graduated from the University of Hawaii - West Oahu with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Management. During her academic career, she worked, maintained a strong academic record, and stayed involved in extracurricular activities, community service events, and internships. At N&K, Alysha is excited to start her first tax season as an associate and to begin fulfilling the experience requirement for her CPA license.

Emilie's worked in accounting for about five years supporting small to mid-size businesses across AP, revenue, fixed assets, GL accounts, tax and financial statement preparation. She is excited to start this next chapter in public accounting working with a broader range of industries and to grow alongside a team focused on delivering great client service!
