According to the recent executive order, "Modernizing Payments To and From America’s Bank Account," the government has mandated the end of all federal paper check disbursements—including tax refunds—effective September 30, 2025.

The IRS must transition fully to Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) disbursements.
Paper checks will no longer be issued by the Treasury after September 30, 2025.
Accepted payment methods going forward will include direct deposit, prepaid cards, and other digital payment options.

Clients, ensure you have a secured account when that time comes.
If you submit your return with a closed account — you will have to use another method, such as a prepaid card that I will have. 💚
