Miller Investment Advisors, now Affinity Capital, was formed as a Registered Investment Advisor to provide fee-based asset management services for individuals and corporations. Ann is an appointed arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulation Authority (FINRA). The firm does pro bono work for several nonprofit organizations. Ann is a former chairman of the National Association of Active Investment Managers (NAAIM). She is on the Advisory Board of the Leadership Houston Endowment and the board of The Houston Museum of Health and Medical Science, serving on the Executive, Governance, and Finance Committees; and is actively involved in community and charitable groups. Ann is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. Richard Miller has a 29-year background of business and finance experience, with work and continuing education that includes investment and portfolio management, retirement planning, life insurance, corporate retirement plans and non-profit management. He is a frequent public speaker. He is serving in his fifth year as President of The 100 Club of San Antonio. He is a board member of the Alamo Area D.A.R.E. He serves as an advisor for three Boy Scout Patrols in Alamo Heights and is a 2016 chair for the Alamo Area Council of Boy Scouts Patriot of the Year Luncheon. Richard has served on the Administrative Board of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church, and serves on the Church Junior High Advisory Council and the Church Scholarship Committee. Richard is a Navy veteran and is married to Heather, and they have five boys!
