Our Story

Legacy Tax and Insurance was established on December 22, 2019 by the owner and CEO Alisa Semiens. Alisa has always been passionate about helping people in low income areas become financially literate and independent. She believes that tax returns, if used properly can be life changing for a family. For example if a mother of three received a $10,000 tax return, some of that money could be used to buy a property. The mother could choose to live in the property while also renting out a room, therefore creating passive income for herself and her children. Legacy Tax and Insurance was created not only to file tax returns but also to help families think critically about leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come.
