Did the IRS file a Substitute for Return for you?
If you don’t file a required tax return, the IRS may prepare a Substitute for Return (SFR) using income information reported to them.
The problem? That return may not include all of the deductions, credits, expenses, or filing choices you would have claimed on a properly prepared return.
That can leave you with a tax bill that is higher than it should be.
The good news: in many cases, you can still file your own accurate return and replace the IRS-prepared version.
Don’t assume the IRS calculation is your final answer.
Wright Tax Solutions can help you get caught up, review what was filed, and determine the next step.
