🐾💼 Office Update from the Cutest Team Member! 💼🐾

It’s the final stretch — just 2 weeks until Tax Day 2025! My current focus is on finalizing returns submitted before March 15th to meet the April 15th deadline.

Meanwhile, Ozzy (pictured hard at work 😄) is helping me power through working late into the night (and mornings)!

📌 Submitted after 3/15? You’ll automatically receive an extension. I’ll complete your return as soon as I can — but can’t guarantee it’ll be done by the deadline.
🔔 Reminder: Extensions are for filing only, not payment. If you think you may owe, I can help arrange a payment with your extension — just let me know.

Week of January 27, 2025 - IRS opens tax season for individuals!

Ozzy has already been busy working on the drop offs we've received to date!

Options for drop offs:

Our window drop slot off our parking lot - just look for the big pink arrow pointing the way. You may use that 24/7. There are new client sheets and plastic envelopes available outside the window for you to use.

Want to hand deliver your papers - we will be free M - W - F between 9am - noon this week for receipt of your documents.

Our online secure portal - available 24/7 for existing and new clients. Need the link? just email me ([email protected]) to request.

No appointments are needed in order to drop off. BUT, you would like to speak with me to discuss a concern or review your documents with me prior to preparation of your return, please let us know by calling the office and requesting an appointment to meet with me.

If you have updated contact information such as new email or cell or home address, please leave us a message or email me, please. We are rolling out a new workflow process this season to help keep all our clients updated all the way. If I currently have your email address, you will be receiving an invitation to the new client document portal in the next day. No paper organizers will automatically be snail mailed out this year. If you would like to request one be sent to you, please let us know and we will generate it for you.

2024 Tax season will soon be in high gear! We are currently working on our annual mailers (either via email or snail mail) to all our clients. Our goal is to have them out to everyone by the end of next week, but hopefully sooner. You can begin dropping off anytime 24/7 using our window drop or starting next Monday, the 20th, you can drop off in person M/W/F mornings before noon. On the 27th we will start our regular season hours and I will post more on that next week.

If you had any changes to your phone, email or home address this past year, please let us know as soon as possible. You can email us at [email protected]. If you have friends and family wanting to engage with our services this year, please email us as well. To sit down and meet with me, please call us at 724-242-7722 and Linda will get you scheduled with me (and Ozzy, of course).

Starting January 1, 2024, the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) requires certain businesses to report their Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). This law is designed to combat financial crimes by increasing transparency in business ownership.

✅ Who needs to file?
Most corporations, LLCs, and similar entities formed or registered in the U.S. will need to report.

Deadlines:
New businesses (formed on or after January 1, 2024): File within 30 days of formation.
Existing entities (formed before January 1, 2024): File by January 1, 2025.
