💡 Every kid deserves the chance to learn how money really works.

The Kids Are Capable program helps kids manage their earnings with a simple, powerful system:
70% to spend, 20% to invest, and 10% to give.

What comes next is that 20% in action. Kids learning how to invest, think long term, and make confident decisions with their own money.

This is how financial confidence starts — by doing, not just by watching. 🌟

In a recent interview, she shared her background, what inspires her, and why she loves being part of a program that helps kids learn confidence and financial skills through real-world experience.

Her passion for teaching and empowering young people shines through everything she does. 💛

💡 Real confidence is built by doing.

One of our Kids Are Capable students decided to invest $400 of his own earnings into a house renovation project. He is learning what it means to take responsibility, think like an investor, and see potential in every challenge.

The goal is not perfection. It is progress. Each decision, each mistake, and each lesson builds more than financial literacy. It builds self-belief.

When kids learn to manage money, take ownership, and see the results of their effort, they build confidence for life.

💡 Confidence isn’t built by watching. It’s built by doing.

The Kids Are Capable program gives kids a hands-on way to learn how money works. Every dollar they earn is divided three ways: 70% to spend, 20% to invest, and 10% to give.

One of our students recently took $400 of his own earnings and invested it in a house renovation project. He is learning about ownership, risk, reward, and the value of seeing a project through.

This is what real financial education looks like. Kids learn through experience, not just instruction.

🌟 When they manage money, make decisions, and see the results of their effort, they build more than financial literacy. They build belief in themselves.

“Young, respectful, hardworking, and helpful — it gives me hope for the future.” 💛

That’s what one customer said after visiting the kids’ estate sale.

The best part? The kids earned more than money — they earned confidence, respect, and real-world experience. 🌾

Meet Hannah — future entrepreneur in the making. 💪

She started with a real estate sale, learning customer service, negotiation, and how to read people.

Her goal? Save up for a power washer, start her own business, and eventually buy her dream Jeep. 🚙

It’s not just about money — it’s about mindset.

Because when kids get real opportunities, they dream bigger. 🌟

Teamwork. Responsibility. Real-world learning. 🌟

Every kid here has a role — from greeting customers to managing prices and closing sales.

Will created a space where kids could learn how to communicate, collaborate, and see what it takes to run a business.

They’re not just helping with a garage sale — they’re building confidence, leadership, and life skills that will last a lifetime. 💛

10/17/2025

Meet Emily Lewis — the project manager of this kids’ garage sale.

Her job? Making sure everyone stays on task, keeping good attitudes, and stepping in where she’s needed most.

She’s learning how to lead with empathy, negotiate, and understand how different people think — real leadership in action. 🌾

Emily said it best: “Money isn’t always my strong suit, but people definitely is.” 💛

Meet Avery 💛

She greeted customers, answered questions, fixed a pinball machine and a jukebox — all while learning patience, confidence, and customer service.

Her favorite part? Giving a little girl a dolphin toy that made her smile. 🐬

Because sometimes the best lessons aren’t about money — they’re about empathy and joy. 🌟
