Just to remind everyone of some of the changes of the OBBB and things we will need. If you worked overtime, we may need your last pay stub if it is not on your W-2. If you purchased a NEW car in 2025 and it was assembled in the USA, you can deducted the interest on the loan. We will need the VIN and the amount of interest paid. If you made any improvements to the home that qualifies for the Energy Credit we will need a QM code on certain items to claim the deduction.

Happy Tax Season 2026! Just a few new things to make you aware of for this tax season. If you purchased a new car, truck or motorcycle in 2025 you may be able to deduct the interest on the loan. Also, if you were paid overtime in 2025 we will need you to bring in your last pay stub of the year.

Lots of changes coming with the Big Beautiful Bill Act. The one thing we wanted to make our clients aware of is the fact that the Residential Energy Tax Credit will be ending at the end of this year. So, if you were thinking of making any energy efficient changes to your home you will have to do so before 12/31 to take advantage of the tax credit.
