I work on budgeting a lot with people personally and for their businesses. I remember thinking when I was eighteen if I could make 36k a year that I’d be set. Then, I kept adjusting my spending to my salary leaving little savings. When I was 22, I came across Dave Ramsey and Suze Orman. They totally changed my outlook on spending and saving. We really don’t need all those purchases we make. If anything, I would end up feeling like I had too much clutter and selling half the clothes or latest kitchen gadgets I bought. Now, I wear the same clothes forever, I would rather have one good meal out a month than to have fast food regularly and I spend less at Target to spend more on things that are valuable to me. Travel with my family is one of those things. People always ask how I travel so much. I research to do it most economically, and I budget every dollar I get. If I go over in one category, another one has to take a cut. Anyways, just a little insight after seeing this while scrolling this morning. Live beneath your means. Have an emergency fund because you are going to have a house repair or need tires eventually. If you don’t know how to budget or plan for retirement, research online or ask someone like me for help. Nerds like me actually enjoy this kind of stuff. LIVE LIKE NO ONE ELSE WHERE YOU CAN LIVE LIKE NO ONE ELSE!
