The IRS has announced an increase to the standard mileage rate for the 2nd half of the year. Beginning 7/1/2022, the standard mileage rate for businesses is 62.5 cents per mile. Businesses that are reimbursing mileage should begin using the new rates for miles driven in July-December. If you are self employed and keeping a mileage log, make sure to have separate totals for the 1st half of the year and 2nd half of the year.
