When you have a business bank account as a single-member LLC, money should ONLY be being deposited into it UNLESS you ONLY withdraw funds for business expenses or you have a proper owner’s draw system setup (when needing to pay yourself). It’s not safe, nor is it a good bookkeeping practice, to just withdraw money from that account, at will, whenever you need money.

The IRS begins releasing refunds this week!

Check with your accountant or tax professional to keep track of your filing status. Or simply visit the IRS website and go to “Where’s My Refund?”.

See your personalized refund date as soon as the IRS processes your tax return and approves your refund. See your status starting around 24 hours after you e-file or 4 weeks after you mail a paper return.

📣 I’ve decided to open up tax preparation to the public on Tuesday, February 24th this year.

I previously announced that I would no longer file for the public, and reserve tax filing for my bookkeeping clients, but I have too many return and new clients. I really don’t want to push you out without proper transition or turn away so many new clients.

If you wish to book current year’s tax preparation with The Tax Tailor, you may do so anytime for any date beginning Tuesday, February 24th. For past due filers, you may still book for any date.

As most know, I will not be taking new clients during the upcoming tax season. I will only prepare and file taxes for bookkeeping clients going forward.

Q4 began yesterday.

As far as planning goes, you should want to be halfway or fully through Q4 -depending on your goals.

Write them down. Read them daily. Move on to Q1 2026. - Make it simple until you can push out farther.
