Happy holidays from the team at Sroka & Co CPAs!!
As the year draws to a close, we want to wish you a joyous holiday season!
In the spirit of giving, we've once again decided to forgo traditional holiday cards and instead direct our efforts toward making a positive impact.
We had the privilege of supporting ten incredible charities that are close to our hearts. It’s our way of spreading kindness and warmth during this festive season.
As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with gratitude for our clients, friends, and associates who have been an integral part of our journey. Thank you for making 2024 a great year.
We wish you health, prosperity, and countless blessings in 2025. May the year ahead bring joy, success, and meaningful connections to you and your loved ones. Happy holidays!
CHOC Children’s Hospital
Thank you for your generous donations to CHOC Children’s. Your gift will enable us to keep meeting the needs of children and families in Orange County with first-class care and state of the art facilities. As a non-profit hospital, CHOC relies on community support to provide leading-edge care for infants, children and adolescents close to home. At CHOC Children’s, Long Live Childhood is our mantra. It is our rallying cry. We live it. We breathe it. We practice it. Every day. In every way. That’s why we’ve assembled a mighty brigade of pediatric experts, premier facilities and generous donors dedicated to giving kids the best chance of growing into healthy and happy adults.
Irreverent Warriors
Irreverent Warriors knows that the best support network for veterans, is other veterans. We bring a community of warriors together through therapeutic events across the country. We also work with other veteran organizations who provide services such as job placement, training, housing, service dogs and more.
Operation Help a Hero
OHH's programs are focused on supporting our active-duty service members. We do more than offer our words of thanks -- we act and help. Each of our programs address a different facet of military service and each shaped by military spouses, service members, parents of service members and from feedback from our littlest heroes, their children. Operation Christmas Spirit spreads the Spirit and joy of Christmas to military families and single service members all over the United States. From family sponsorships to single service member gifts given in surprise, to toys given to unit Christmas parties to be handed out by Santa to gift cards sent out in aid to families, to volunteers giving their time with the real meaning of Christmas in their hearts-- this project is special. We love this project because Christmas morning we know children and service members all across the country will experience magical moments thanks to the kindness of complete strangers.
Sarcoma Foundation of America
The single resolve of SFA is to find a cure for sarcoma, a rare and devastating cancer that is often misdiagnosed and has no early screening options. We do this by advocating for increased funding at the local and national levels, educating sarcoma patients and health care professionals about the disease and funding research. This generous gift will enable SFA to enhance its mission and fund grants for sarcoma researchers, educate patients about new therapies and treatments and advocate on behalf of sarcoma patients. Eliminate pain and suffering due to sarcoma by advocating for increased government funding against sarcoma, creating alliances with the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries to rapidly develop new and better sarcoma treatments, increasing public awareness regarding early detection of sarcoma, and educating sarcoma patients.
Second Harvest Food Bank
Thank you for your generous donation in support of our work. At Second Harvest Food Bank we have a Bold Goal of increasing our meals provided from 20 million to over 30 million by 2021. This is made possible because of donors like you. On behalf of our more than 312 community and program partners, our board, our dedicated volunteers, and our staff, thank you. With your donation, we can focus on our strategic Bold Goal and focus on four key initiatives-feeding our children, feeding our families, feeding our seniors, and strengthening our partners. Through these four initiatives and your partnership, we will continue to make Orange County a better place for all. Every $1 donated helps us provide the equivalent of 3 meals for hungry children, seniors and families.
The Sheepfold
To equip mothers with children suffering from homelessness or abuse for successful independent living with hope for the future. A key outcome is that they can live on their own independently and not be tempted to return to their abuser and destructive lifestyle. We first opened our doors to homeless, abused and forsaken women with children in October 1979. Since that time thousands of women and their children have found shelter, safe refuge and a new beginning in life as a result of the Sheepfold ministry. The goal of this program is to find employment and establish them in their own apartment, ready for independent living. During their stay with us, they receive everything they need free of charge. This includes things such as home cooked meals, new clothes, all hygiene supplies, children and infant supplies, subsidized childcare, transportation and much, much more.
ZAKA
ZAKA offers professional and highly-skilled volunteer services in the areas of emergency response, search and rescue, accident prevention and assistance in international disasters. Specialist search and rescue units have been established over the years including, among others, a Motorcycle unit, K9 unit, Jeep unit, ATV unit, Jet-ski unit and Divers unit. In all cases, these units consist of highly trained volunteers, each a specialist in their own field, bringing their skills and dedication to the organization and ensuring the fastest and most professional response to the situation.
Alzheimer’s Foundation of America
Donations like yours make it possible for AFA to continue to fulfill its mission of providing support, services and education to individuals, families and caregivers affected by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias nationwide, and funding research for better treatment and a cure. We provide free memory screenings nationwide through our National Memory Screening Program, offer free educational programs, webinars, and events nationwide, deliver funding for Alzheimer's research, community-based services, and scholarships and train professional caregivers, health care workers, and others who serve families impacted by dementia.
Working Wardrobes
We do everything in our power to help men, women, young adults and Veterans overcome difficult challenges so they can achieve the dignity of work, and The Power of a Paycheck™. Since 1990, Working Wardrobes has made an indelible mark in the lives of our clients and in the community. Our goal is to positively impact our collective way of life, from economical, emotional, and environmental perspectives.
ASPCA
The ASPCA works to keep more animals in loving homes by protecting animals from harmful situations through community engagement, preventative action and providing resources and care when needed. One of the largest challenges facing animal welfare organizations today is the sheer number of animals in need of assistance. Every year, approximately 6.3 million companion animals arrive at one of the community animal shelters nationwide. The ASPCA® (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) has been at the forefront of animal rescue. Your support is critical to our ongoing efforts to rescue and protect vulnerable and needy animals. It is thanks to friends like you that we can create and continue the life-saving programs that help so many animals and pet parents across the country. On behalf of the animals we serve, thank you for supporting the ASPCA.
