💰 Remember when your savings account paid you about enough to buy a stick of gum?

Now banks are bragging about 4 to 5 percent “high yield” savings. Wow. Break out the champagne.

Sure, it’s better than zero.

But here’s the thing… are you really going to build wealth by parking cash in a bank account?

Or is that just financial comfort food?

So tell me — are you team “let it sit and earn a little” or team “put it to work and actually grow it”?

I know someone who sold stocks at a loss to save on taxes. A week later, they bought the same stock back. No big deal, right? Wrong. Wash sale rule. Deduction gone. Thousands lost.

That’s the price of “figuring it out yourself.”

💸 The biggest wealth transfer in history is happening right now 💸

Trillions are moving from Boomers to Gen X and Millennials.

But here's the truth....

Most of it will be gone in just a few years.

Spent.

Taxed.

Addictions.

Lawsuits.

Broken Relationships.

It doesn't have to be that way.

Families that pass down money without wisdom lose it.

Families that pass down both can build a legacy that lasts.

Proverbs 13:22 says it best: “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.”

If you're the younger generation and suspect that you'll receive an inheritance, then take the time to get educated on how money works BEFORE you receive the wealth. Or be like everyone else and buy that depreciating asset that will never fulfill you like you think it will.

A lot has been said about Erika Kirk expressing forgiveness toward her husband’s killer. Forgiveness is a powerful thing, and I applaud her for doing so. In that moment, she chose faith and trust in God over bitterness and hate. It was a beautiful testimony of grace in the midst of great pain, and I can only hope I would be willing to do the same.

But forgiveness has two sides. The first is an attitude of forgiveness, where we release anger, entrust judgment to God and civil authority, and free ourselves from the poison of bitterness.

The second is the restoration of the relationship, which requires genuine repentance. We should pray for the killer that God would grant him repentance. That would be a very good thing.
But until there is evidence of such repentance, extending this second side of forgiveness would not be just.
