Anthony M Karabas, Barnum Financial Group My mission is to help my clients make smart choices about their money so they can achieve their goals and live their lives with purpose. Who are my clients?

My mission is to help my clients make smart choices about their money so they can achieve their goals and live their lives with purpose, for the reasons that are important to them. When transactional financial product sales were the norm, I decided to change my practice from transactional relationships to holistic engagements. I find fulfillment in helping people achieve "The American Dream" with a greater sense of purpose and financial security while creating and protecting their legacy for future generations. I am inspired by the story of my grandfather Tony (Toni) Karabas, who immigrated to the United States as the only child of his parents in 1919. A fourteen-year-old with nothing more than a note in his pocket from his parents to his "uncle," he could not speak, read, nor write English. He also had full knowledge that he would never see his parents again. His parents made a great sacrifice by sending my grandfather to America with blind faith that he would have a prosperous life. I am the legacy of my great-grandparents' sacrifice. People who feel strongly for someone or something other than self. Those who take financial goals seriously. Financial delegators. Clients who enjoy the simplicity, freedom, and peace of mind that comes from a trusted advisor and his team. When not working with my clients, I enjoy family time, museums, antiquing, all outdoor activities and physical fitness.

Three things for an employee to look at if your ESOP company is sold:

1️⃣ What does this mean for you financially? It’s important to be clear on the details – price per share, deal structure, and your voting rights are all important considerations.

2️⃣ How and when you’ll get paid – this varies, so it is important to be clear on the details about vesting, payout timing, and form of payment to expect.

3️⃣ Taxes and distribution options – for many employees, this may be the largest sum of money ever received, so it’s important to understand how it is taxed and how it fits in your overall financial plan.

Don’t go it alone – I can help you understand these considerations and more. Let’s connect.
