Elizabeth Sibley, CIA and Brittany Walker, CPA, CIA, President and Vice President of the local Central MS IIA local chapter, recently attended The Institute of Internal Auditors Leadership Academy in Orlando, Florida, where they collaborated and connected with chapter leaders from the US, Canada and the Caribbean.

It was an amazing experience. As we all know, the risk environment is changing rapidly; Internal Auditors are needed now more than ever. Lizzy and Brittany are excited to share their experiences from Leadership Academy with the local chapter to help promote and advance the internal audit profession.

Elizabeth Sibley, CIA and Brittany Walker, CPA, CIA from the Central MS IIA Chapter spoke to members of Mississippi College’s Accounting Society on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, about the fundamentals of a career in Internal Auditing. They shared thoughtful perspectives on each of their individual career paths. While no pictures were taken, there was knowledge shared and meaningful discussions held.
