I enjoyed visiting my alma matter, Stetson University, last week for the introduction of the newly created Investment Center to the business school alumni. This is designed to expose sophomores at the university to the best that the business school has to offer early in their academic careers. It allows them to make an informed decision on which area they’d like concentrate on during their final years at the university and get three years to experiential learning in their chosen area of focus. Those programs being the Roland George Investments Program (investment analysis), Hatter Angels Investment Program (venture capital), the CFP program (financial planning), and a new Quantitative Analytics program.

I’ve been so impressed with and happy to contribute to what is being built in DeLand by the dedicated business school staff. These students leave Stetson University well prepared for their chosen careers through specific skill building alongside talented academics and involved alumni that have experience in these industries.

Any alumni recognize the venue? It was not the well put together event space it is now when I used to visit it 25 years ago….

Attending NewEdge Advisors AdvisorFirst conference is always a great way to celebrate our anniversary as a firm for Riverside Wealth Partners. As luck would have it, it also took place on Michelle Laird and my 25th wedding anniversary! Palmetto Bluff was a perfect place to celebrate both of these personal and professional milestones.

This year’s conference was titled Grounded Together and featured industry leading experts in technology and practice management. It also offered us the opportunity to hear from NewEdge leaders on their efforts to support advisors through industry leading solutions and an “Advisor First” culture.

Importantly it provided us some valuable networking time with peers across the country to hear how they are managing their practices and meeting client needs. It was quite the celebration and we brought home our third consecutive practice award.

We’re encouraged and excited to enter into year four as a practice affiliated with NewEdge Advisors!

We’d love to see you at the Melanoma Research Foundation’s 6th annual local fundraiser at TPC Sawgrass! The event takes place Thursday October 22nd from 6-10PM. I have been involved with this organization for two years after successfully fighting Melanoma myself. This year I’ve taken on the role of co-chair of the event as well as being a sponsor.

This casual evening on the clubhouse lawn will feature live music, silent and live auction, and great food. The event will help sponsor a research grant supporting advances in treatment of this disease. Innovation abounds in the treatment of melanoma. Merck and Moderna announced a very significant advance in the treatment of melanoma just this week. Here is a link to the press release in case you missed it. Since its inception in 2021, has made a remarkable impact, raising almost $1 million and fully funding groundbreaking research grants focused on pediatric melanoma and advanced immunotherapy treatments. As many of you know, we’ll be moving from Riverside Avenue to Greenland Road and US 1 in the fall of 2026. Our scheduled move in date is November 1. We purchased this office condo with the goal to build equity rather than paying rent. We’ve enjoyed our time on Riverside Avenue immensely and it was the right spot for the start of our new business. Ownership is the right move for the next phase.

We purchased the suite with the help of Tyrone Jackson with United Real Estate Gallery. Tyrone was professional, prompt with communication, and a great negotiator. I would recommend him highly for your commercial or residential needs.

Roquelle G. Bradford and her team with Coleman Talley LLP made for an efficient and accurate closing. I would recommend her services highly. She specializes in all aspects of real estate including affordable housing, commercial real estate transactions, title insurance, real estate litigation, and residential real estate.

We are so excited to transform the space prior to our move in date. We look forward to seeing you in our new location soon!

Dietrè Griesinger just wrapped up a successful internship with Riverside Wealth Partners.

She trained our advisory team on Claude (the innovative AI tool made available to us by NewEdge Advisors), sat in on client meetings, built out a new YCharts research platform for ongoing review of our model portfolios, and designed a rebalancing workflow for 529 accounts that our whole team now uses.

Dietre is heading back to Stetson University to complete her degree in Finance and Accounting. We were so happy with her work that we decided to hire her for project work for our firm during the coming school year.

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting Dietrè Griesinger as our first firm intern this summer at Riverside Wealth Partners.

Dietre comes to us as a rising senior at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. She is an Accounting and Finance major and was selected to participate in the prestigious Roland George Investments Program (RGIP), which I was a part of 27 years ago. RGIP is one of the oldest student run investment management programs in the country, allowing students to gain real life experience in investment analysis and portfolio management with the program’s $7 million portfolio.

Outside of academics, Dietre is involved in campus as a member of the equestrian team as well as the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority.

We know we will both learn a lot from eachother through this experience and look forward to seeing Dietre this June.

Riverside Wealth Partners was honored to participate as an Event Partner for The Rotary Club of Jacksonville's 2nd Annual Financial Literacy Summit on April 17, 2026. This event was the culmination of a year of planning for our committee and could not have been completed without the tireless efforts of our club members and event partners.

This year’s event took place at Jean Ribault High School’s beautiful new campus. We had 140 students take part in a full day of financial education. Thank you to Jean Ribault High School, Riverside High School, Raines High School, Andrew Jackson High School and KIPP Jacksonville for inviting your students to take part!

The kids left this engaging day with a better understanding of saving, investing, debt management, career opportunities and navigating college/vocational choices.

We appreciated the opportunity to contribute to the Jacksonville community through this effort!

I truly enjoyed my third National Partners Conference with NewEdge Advisors at the Tarranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

I learned a lot from the experts presenting on various topics, with this year’s focus topic of alternative investments. We have a really deep bench of internal resources as well as external partners.

I also enjoyed catching up with friends and colleagues to compare notes on successes and challenges. The very mediocre young tennis player in me was thrilled to meet Andre Agassi (!!) our evening speaker Monday night. He spoke about the challenges he faced during a successful career and how he’s giving back in a major way to education by helping build schools in underserved areas of the country.

NewEdge Advisors and NewEdge Capital Group are truly hitting our stride. Our growth in industry rankings is matched by the growth in resources provided by the firm we are affiliated with. It’s been amazing to watch and the best is yet to come!

I was thrilled to be invited to Dimensional Fund Advisors’ two day Deals and Succession conference last week for the third year in a row along with other senior executives in the RIA space. Dimensional is an asset manager that we highly respect, and a thought partner in the practice management field with a team dedicated to monitoring trends and providing guidance to growing advisors.

As a fiduciary, it is my obligation to ensure that I am planning for future growth, long term sustainability, and for the unexpected. Through this conference, I’ve connected with a number of highly respected individuals in the industry that can help me plan for the future as well as other advisors tackling similar issues within their own practices. I came away with a number of actionable objectives to pursue for the long-term benefit of the clients of Riverside Wealth Partners.

And I had the good fortune of meeting up with my good friend Corey Walen with Bridgemark Strategies, who helped guide my transition to an independent practice, and made plans to be on his podcast in a few weeks.
