Craig Buse joined Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company in 2002 and has held various roles throughout his tenure, currently serving as President & CEO. His leadership is rooted in a strong background in technology, strategy, and community banking.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Information Security from Capella University. He is a 2012 graduate of the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin, and completed the Dubois County Leadership Academy in 2011. In 2009, he was recognized as a “Rising Star” by the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA), a testament to his forward-thinking approach and commitment to excellence in community banking.
In addition to his role at Springs Valley, Craig is actively engaged in regional economic and community development. He currently serves on the boards of RADIUS Indiana, Dubois Strong, ISCDC (Indiana Small and Community Development Corporations), SWICACC (Southwestern Indiana Child Advocacy Center Coalition), and Spencer County Economic Development Authority (SCEDA), where he helps foster collaboration and growth across Southern Indiana.
Craig resides in Spencer County with his wife, Erika, and their two sons, Chase and Colton. He is passionate about strengthening communities through innovative banking solutions and relationship-based service.
