The warns of an evolving digital assets scam where fraudsters are sending fake IRS letters that direct you to enroll your cryptocurrency in a “Digital Asset Compliance Portal” by a certain deadline. No such portal exists.

If you receive this notice, do not scan the QR code or provide any personal or financial information. Scammers are trying to steal your information and digital assets.

If you had asked 13-year-old Allison where she’d be in 15 years, she probably would’ve told you she’d be a teacher, have five kids, and be living a beautifully chaotic life. 🤍

She definitely wouldn’t believe what that “chaos” actually looks like today—in the absolute best way possible. A business owner, a wife, and a mama to the sweetest toddler, building a life I’m incredibly grateful for.

We’ve been blessed beyond measure with family and friends who support us, and amazing clients who, at this point, feel a whole lot more like family.

Life may not look exactly how 13-year-old me pictured it, but somehow it’s even better.

Here’s to thanking God for the chaos, soaking in every blessing we have today, and trusting Him with all the blessings still to come. 🤍✨

If your S Corporation or Partnership filed an extension, the extended filing deadline is September 15.

Don’t wait until the last minute! Make sure your records are ready and any outstanding information has been provided to your tax professional so your return can be completed on time.

Yesterday, someone stopped by our office feeling overwhelmed after receiving a tax notice they didn’t understand.

We were able to help them get answers and provide some peace of mind. Today, they surprised us with these beautiful flowers as a thank you. 💐

✨ A little reintroduction for all the new faces around here! ✨

Hi, I’m Allison McNatt, owner of SBF Bookkeeping & Tax Associates, Inc. 👋

I graduated from Jefferson High School and began working at SBF in 2016 when my grandmother owned the company. After earning my Degree in Accounting from Athens Technical College, I continued growing with the business until I proudly became the owner in 2020.

Today, SBF offers bookkeeping, payroll, and tax services for individuals and businesses, and I truly love helping our clients succeed year after year. It means so much to continue the legacy my grandmother built while bringing a fresh, modern approach to the business.

Outside of the office, I’ve been married to my husband for six years, and together we’re raising our sweet one-year-old son, JB, who keeps us laughing and on our toes every day. Being a business owner and a mom is one of life’s greatest blessings, and I’m grateful for both.

📢 IRS Mileage Rate Update – Effective July 1, 2026

The IRS has announced a mid-year increase to the standard mileage rate due to rising fuel costs.

✅ Business Mileage: 76¢ per mile (up from 72.5¢)
✅ Medical & Qualified Military Moving: 23.5¢ per mile
✅ Charitable Mileage: 14¢ per mile (no change)

If you use your personal vehicle for business, be sure to update your mileage logs and reimbursement rates effective July 1, 2026.
