So at yesterdays FOMC, the Fed came in with another 75 bps rate hike amidst good job numbers once again. This essentially leads to a higher Dollar and more pressure on stocks and other assets. December is gonna be the month to keep an eye on

Just to show something pretty crazy, META has erased five years (5 YEARS) of gains in one year. That's ridiculous and isn't too far away from what a lot of popular 401k stocks are looking like.

So, CPI results came in today and they were....not good. CPI is the consumer price index and helps track inflation and core inflation. Core inflation is what the Fed really measures themselves off of. And core inflation is currently at a 40 year high! That's hugely concerning. Unfortunately it makes the idea that inflation won't come back down to the 2-3% levels we're used to and its going to get stuck in around 5-6%.

Now what does this all mean? Well it means that things will likely get worse before they get better. Prices will stay where they are/go up more, stocks will continue to depreciate as a whole (there will be outliers), and the fed will keep raising interest rates. Does this mean all is lost? Of course not, but now you have to be pickier with which assets and sectors you allocate your money to.

This isn't a fun market for anyone and unfortunately, there are no news services worth a dang to tell you right from wrong. Most analysts (and even your financial advisors) are gonna preach buying tech ETFs, Meta, Netflix; buy what you use they say. This is not gonna help you to make money. In fact, I'd say you'll lose more and then go right to the old "Stock market is a scam, how do people even make any money here" when in reality you just have to see through the BS. Opportunities are aplenty out there if you know where to look!

For those who will be new to the page here’s what to expect: market commentary, general takes on things happening on the finance side of things, and maybe a freebie every now and then!

One thing I really wanted to touch on that is a big foundation of why I wanted to start this business, is the general culture around finance. I feel like personal finance and sovereignty over your money is almost taboo in America. I know when I was growing up, we were never taught anything about it in school. It was put your money in a bank and let other people do it for you. I’m not one to rely on the system and specifically think the financial system is a bit scuffed. My aim is to bring people to a point of knowledge that they can feel more comfortable making investment decisions without losing money by handing it over to a Edward Jones or a Charles Schwab.

Personal finance has become too impersonal. Let’s change that.

I started the idea behind this business a long time ago but it came to fruition this year. I have always been interested in markets and financial freedom and this year I had achieved a massive goal of mine. I think that financial literacy is massively underrated in today's day and age. People my age don't have much insight into wealth generation and financial acumen and just want someone else to take care of it for them. I think everyone should have a hand in their own finances but shouldn't be afraid to ask for help. That's where I come in!

I'm a big advocate for being your own bank and taking control of your finances. Genuinely want everyone to do well because I believe that makes the world a much better place when one of the more confusing bits about life (Finance!) is broken down and made less complicated!
