A U.S. District Court Judge in Huntsville, Alabama, ruled that the new BOI filing requirement is unconstitutional, because it exceeds the powers granted to Congress by the Constitution. Many expect the issue to make it's way to the US Supreme Court. Check our website for updates and more information: proactivecpas.com.

★★★★★ "This is my third year using Tom for my taxes. He’s been fantastic. I’m able to do everything via email, he’s knowledgeable about what works best for our family and doesn’t push me to do things I don’t need. Best accounting experience I’ve ever had."

Have you tracked your progress on your 2023 business goals recently?

Reaching those goals requires accurate measurement, which provides feedback and helps you make informed calls.

If you measure your key metrics, you can manage their performance and get proper insight into your business's performance.

When you're considering raising your prices, start by thinking about what you offer that draws in most of your new customers.

Raising prices on that should be a last resort.

Start with increasing prices on your premium, extra, or add-on items.
Customers don’t generally use those until they’ve become more loyal to your brand. This means they'll be more likely to put up with a price increase before they think of leaving you.

Did you know there's a Taxpayer Bill of Rights? Yes, you actually have rights when it comes to the IRS.

# 1. The Right To Be Informed.

You have the right to know what’s going on with your tax matters, and the IRS is required to communicate with you in a clear, plain English manner about what you need to do and when.

If the IRS expects people to actually comply with tax laws, how to do so needs to be made as clear as it possibly can be (clear as mud sometimes...).

If you’re having an issue with the IRS, such as a tax debt or audit, they have to clearly explain what they’re doing and why as well as explain what your options are and what they expect of you.

Buying a new car right now is something not a lot of people are doing. But if you are looking at buying one and have your eye on a new electric vehicle (EV), you might be able to get a little kickback from Uncle Sam -- up to $7,500, thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act.

If you’ve found an EV you’re interested in, but you’re not sure that your purchase would qualify for a tax credit, just head over to the EPA’s qualifier pages to find out for sure.

Find out how you can save money through Federal tax incentives on your purchase of a new plug-in hybrid or electric vehicle!
