If passed, the child tax credit would be a little more fruitful for lower income families due to it being fully refundable (google refundable vs nonrefundable credits).

The business related tax changes bring back the deduction on R&D which a lot of smaller businesses don't take advantage of anyway.

US congressional negotiators are nearing a bipartisan deal to renew expired business tax breaks and boost the child tax credit in time for many voters to receive the benefit during the current election year.
