Wedding officiant in Kansas who goes the extra mile

About a month ago I went to a senior facility to notarize for an elderly couple, and the wife had forgotten her husband’s driver’s license. She doesn’t drive. Without that ID, his document could not be signed, and they were stuck.

So I drove her across the state line to her own facility, picked up the license, brought her back, and we finished the signing. No extra charge. Of course not.

I serve a lot of seniors and hospital patients, and I lead with compassion and patience, because a signature is never just a signature. Sometimes it is a family’s peace of mind.

Somebody else notarized it WRONG. 😳

I was dropping off an apostille I facilitated for a client, and the notarization under it had not been done correctly. An apostille built on a bad notarization can be rejected, and my client never would have known until it was too late.

I figured out the fix and handled it, and he was so happy he tipped me well. 🥹 This is why the details matter, and why I check everything twice.

And yes, he got my goodies too: gardenia oil, a thank you letter, keychains and pens. My clients remember how I make them feel.

They found me on Thumbtack and picked ONLY me!

In two weeks I’m marrying a couple in a park in Johnson County, Kansas. They wanted their day small, real, and completely theirs, so I’m writing them a ceremony that sounds like them, because that’s what I do. Every love story is welcome here.

And after the “I do,” I file their marriage license at the courthouse myself. They start their honeymoon. I run the errand.
