It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of my colleague, David G. Hanger.
After a sudden diagnosis and bout with virulent lung cancer, David lost his brief battle on Wednesday July 8, 2026, in San Antonio Texas with his sisters Kathy and Becky by his side.
David owned and operated First City Tax and Accounts for 49 years. His knowledge and intelligence was beyond any others I know.
Working with David for the past 25 years was an experience I'll not soon forget. I will do my best to carry on in his name as he wished. Bear with me as I traverse this journey solo. I will attempt to maintain the standard of excellence you deserve.
