Six years ago today, I married Darren. Somewhere along the way, he also earned the official title of Director of Common Sense.

It is a role that mostly involves keeping me grounded, asking the practical questions, fixing things I had already declared permanently broken, helping with every project I dream up, and making sure the dogs receive entirely too many snacks.

He is my partner, my steady place, my favorite person, and the one I want beside me through all of it.
