Standing in solidarity with everyone who has a child heading back to school or is helping one get there. 🎒

Fun fact: Evan Schmidt and Dominic Hubert have been friends since the 7th grade.

So naturally, we had to find out how much they actually remember about each other from those middle school days.

Turns out, some things stick with you. Others...not so much.

We love how simply Mac breaks this down.

There are four basic things we can do with money: spend it, save it, invest it, or give it away.

Introducing all four choices early helps kids understand that money is not only for buying something today. It can also be saved for later, given the opportunity to grow, or used to help someone else.

Your kids are learning about money before you ever sit them down to talk about it, and they notice more than we think.

They hear the conversations.

The goal is not to be perfect with money, but to be intentional.

One of the most powerful financial lessons we can give our children is not found in a textbook. It is modeled in everyday life.

How we talk about, spend, save, and give money, even when money feels stressful. Those moments become part of the financial story our children carry with them.

The good news? We do not have to model perfection. We can model honesty, consistency, generosity, and thoughtful decision-making.
