She went on to work directly with the software company behind the bakery’s systems, helping bring technology to life for real-world operations.

Over the next seven years, she traveled extensively across the U.S. and Canada—from California to Montreal—leading implementations, training teams, and supporting successful go-lives. Her career later expanded internationally, adding experience across the UK, Prague, Malaysia, Singapore, Paris, and Brussels.

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Sam, our new Staff Accountant! 🎉 Sam is a dedicated professional and Army veteran who brings a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and focused mindset to everything he does.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys staying active and pursuing a variety of hobbies including going to the gym, camping, fishing, gardening, building cars, and playing music. He also shares his home with his 3-year-old Cane Corso, who keeps him busy when he’s not in the office.

Sam is currently set to complete his MBA this August, further strengthening his accounting and business expertise.

Misty brings so much heart, energy, and positivity to the IFI Professionals team every single day. When she’s not helping our customers succeed, she’s busy making a difference in the world through animal welfare and rescue work, serving on a rescue organization’s Board of Directors, and spending time with her four rescue dogs and husband. ❤️🐾

She’s also an adventurer at heart — from running ultramarathons (yes, FIVE 100-milers! 😲) to kayaking, rollerblading, and exploring the outdoors. And after all that? She proudly embraces her couch potato side with binge-worthy TV nights, podcasts, and her favorite True Crime stories.

"Sometimes it’s a single digit that can lead to a costly error or actually be an attempt at fraud. For example, imagine a case where two invoices from a vendor arrive within a few days. They contain the same items, the same amount due, but the date and invoice numbers are different. For whatever reason, an identical delivery was billed twice. Now picture the AP team trying to catch up with a flood of paperwork and erroneously entering those two invoices for approval, assuming at a quick glance that they are for two separate orders.
