🎉🎂 Happy Birthday, Cheri! 🎂🎉
Today, we’re celebrating Cheri, Senior Staff Accountant at IFI Professionals! 🥳

Cheri has been an important part of the IFI family since August 2018, when she returned to the accounting profession after taking time to raise her four children. With an impressive career that began right out of high school, Cheri worked her way from Accounts Payable to Senior Bookkeeper, provided Executive Accounting for the owners of a prominent residential real estate developer, and even assisted with partnership, corporate, and personal tax returns.

After more than two decades as a stay-at-home mom, Cheri jumped right back into the accounting world in 2018—and we’re so fortunate that her path led her to IFI Professionals! ❤️

But Cheri is much more than an incredible accountant. She grew up in a musical family, playing the cello and piano and singing throughout school. She even played Maria in her high school production of West Side Story! 🎶 Today, she continues to share her love of music by singing at church and with her choir.

"The trigger is almost always growth, even if the specific reason varies. The most common ones:

Opening a country office: A new market often requires a locally incorporated entity for tax, employment, and regulatory compliance.

Acquiring another business: Acquisitions typically retain the acquired company's legal structure, at least initially.

Separating business lines: Companies isolate product lines or revenue streams for liability protection or tax efficiency.

Partnership and joint venture structures: These often require distinct entities for each component of the arrangement.

🎉 Happy 8-Year IFI Anniversary, Cheri! 🎉
Today we’re celebrating 8 incredible years with IFI Professionals for our Senior Staff Accountant, Cheri! 🥳

Cheri began her accounting career right out of high school, starting in Accounts Payable for a small firm that provided accounting services for Racquetball World and other recreational facilities. Through hard work and dedication, she worked her way up to Senior Bookkeeper.

She then went on to provide personal Executive Accounting for the owners of a prominent residential real estate developer while also assisting their Tax Department with partnership, corporate, and personal tax returns.

In 1992, Cheri embarked on her next important career—as a stay-at-home mom raising four children! ❤️

When she was ready to return to the workforce in 2018, Cheri was fortunate to find IFI Professionals and jump right back into the accounting field she loves. We’re so grateful that she did!

Cheri, thank you for your dedication, expertise, hard work, and commitment to IFI and our clients over the past eight years. We’re incredibly lucky to have you as part of the IFI family!

Today, we’re celebrating Paul and the incredible experience, leadership, and adventurous spirit he brings to the IFI team! 🎈

A Veteran of the Royal Australian Army of Engineers, Paul earned his degree in Computer Science and has built an impressive career helping growing businesses optimize their financial and operational performance through the right people, processes, and technology.

His career has included founding and working with software startups, executive leadership roles in small and mid-size businesses, and experience with Fortune 500 organizations including IBM and Unisys. In 2015, Paul reunited with former colleague and friend Jim French at Incubator Finance (now IFI Professionals,) where he now leads IFI’s business development activities.

Outside of work, Paul enjoys spending time with his family, yacht racing, mountain biking, traveling, and exploring ancient civilizations. 🌎⛵🚵‍♂️

Ted brings several years of experience in technical support and customer success leadership, helping customers navigate complex technical challenges while leading teams focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences. His background includes enterprise SaaS applications, API integrations, REST APIs, SSO, Salesforce-based applications, and working with cross-functional teams to bridge the gap between technical and business needs.

Throughout his career, Ted has also enjoyed mentoring team members, improving support processes, and building strong relationships with customers and colleagues. We’re excited to have his experience and expertise on the IFI team!
