We here at Taxman want to thank each and everyone of our clients old and new for a wonderful season! You guys are not just clients to us you are part of our Taxman family and we are very grateful for each and everyone of you!

With that being said Taxman is open on Wednesdays in off season for all of your tax needs! Whether it be a question about taking disbursements from your retirement, a letter from the IRS, or just wanting information about your withholding at work! We are available for service year round!

The PATH Act hold has officially lifted for taxpayers who claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. According to the IRS, many refunds are expected by March 2, and deposits are expected to start arriving next week. In previous years, some refunds have arrived earlier, but there is never a guarantee.

Please note, no deposits will be processed today. Be sure to watch the IRS website this week for updated deposit dates.

Also remember, filing your return in January does not automatically place you in the first batch of refunds or guarantee a specific deposit date. In fact, some taxpayers who file in early February may receive their refunds before those who filed in January.

Refunds can be delayed for several reasons, including errors, fraud filters, identity verification, or wage and dependent reviews. Most of the time, these delays are outside of your tax professional’s control and do not automatically mean there is an issue with your return.

Stay patient and continue checking for updates through the IRS website.

Please don’t be out there paying 700$ or more in tax fees! There is no  circumstance out there that would have you paying that much in Tax preparation fees for a personal tax return! I have heard multiple times with new clients this year that in previous years they were paying that much and more! Please come see us at taxman, we will not only file your taxes correctly but for a fair price! No one should be paying $700 for tax preparation!

Ask us how you can invest in your child’s future with a trump account! All children that were born in 2025 are eligible for an account with a $1000.00 deposit! And any child under 18 is eligible for the account they just don’t receive the free $1000.00 deposit, but you can deposit up to $5000.00 a year into their accts and like and IRA potential earnings can grow tax free! 🚨 TAX FRAUD WARNING 🚨
If you are paying someone to prepare your taxes and your return says “Self-Prepared” at the bottom, that is a MAJOR red flag. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

Most fraudulent tax preparers use this tactic to avoid being traced. When fraud is found on the return, YOU the taxpayer are held 100% responsible.
Why? Because there is no preparer name, no PTIN, and no signature on the return.

You also cannot report a ghost preparer to the IRS if their name is nowhere on your return.

Please start using common sense when allowing people to prepare your taxes. Just because you know them, they’re a friend, a cousin, or your neighbor does NOT mean they are honest.

If someone is doing your taxes:
✔️ Their name should be on the return
✔️ Their PTIN should be listed
✔️ They should sign the return
