Texas' annual back-to-school tax-free weekend is scheduled for August 7 through August 9, 2026. During this period, shoppers can buy most clothing, footwear, school supplies, and backpacks priced under $100 without paying state and local sales taxes. The latest on BOI Reporting for most businesses, there is no more penalties or enforcement, although, as of today it is still a requirement. It is due on March 21st. I have filed for myself to play it safe, but people have also chosen to wait it out. Check this video out for more info as of March 2025.
