Nevada Free Taxes Coalition

The Nevada Free Taxes Coalition (NFTC) partners with community organizations and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to provide the VITA program to Nevada families. Last year the VITA program saved nearly 8,000 households an estimated $1,365,000 in income tax preparation and filing fees. Over $10,500,000 in federal income tax refunds were returned to Nevada, providing veterans, low-income families,

seniors, single parents and students with a financial boost they desperately needed in a recovering economy. Since 2007, hundreds of local volunteers have been trained and certified by IRS and donated tens of thousands of hours preparing and filing federal income tax returns at dozens of VITA sites across the Las Vegas Valley and Pahrump free of charge for families whose annual household income is less than $52,000. NFTC will carry on this important program by having 20 tax sites throughout Las Vegas and Pahrump.
