We’re on the final stretch. That being said due to the volume of returns I still have to do and ones I’m expecting, returns will be drop off only, no appointments, no sit downs Monday-Wednesday. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but I will have to go nonstop & uninterrupted to just have a chance to finish everything by Wednesday. Note that the April 15th deadline is really only if you owe tax, those getting refunds aren’t required to file by any deadline. You just have a 3 year window to claim any refund. If you’re already planning on dropping off please do it by Monday, any later there is a good chance it will not be completed on time. I take great pride in the quality and quantity of work that I do, but there are only 24 hours in a day and at this point I just need more than that! It is still just me here, but looking at possibly adding to that in the near future as the business grows. As always I truly appreciate all my customers and all their recommendations I see on here so often!

April 15th is getting closer and closer. I don’t have any more appointment times available for this tax season. That doesn’t mean we won’t be able to get to you. Just means you can either walk in and take your chances with a little wait or just drop your info off with us and those are usually done in a day or two, no waiting no stress. That’s the easiest route for all of us. But don’t worry, either way we will get you done before the deadline.

One of our very best friends, Cole Garrett, is in the biggest fight of his life. 💛 He is a truly wonderful, selfless human being who has been bravely battling cancer. Two of his kids are part of our Great Crepes and More family, which makes this hit even closer to home. ❤️

Cole just finished chemotherapy, but unfortunately the results were not what they had hoped for. 💔

Next, he must go to Indiana for a surgery, one that only two hospitals in the entire country are equipped to perform. ✈️🏥

That time of year is upon us. We are all set and ready to go. With the standard deduction being raised and higher child tax credits, refunds are expected to be more this year. Ask about all our options, you could qualify for a same day refund up to $6,000. Drop on by or give us a call and set up an appointment. Office hours are 9:30-5 Monday thru Friday and Saturday 10-1 starting January 24th.

Mrs Jan spent many years here working up front until her health declined and she wasn’t able to any longer. She never met a stranger and just loved talking to anybody and everybody. Today she has a brand new body and reunited with Darrell. Our thoughts and prayers are with Joy, Julie, and all the family.

A little PSA:
The IRS has been backlogged since COVID shutdowns and are now finally catching up. Also they are more automated than ever so many may have or will receive correspondence soon. With this also comes many scams to try and steal your personal information (SSN, bank account numbers, etc). If you receive a phone call or email from the “Internal Revenue Service”disregard it, they only legitimate way of contact from the IRS is by mail.

If you do receive anything feel free to give us a call or come by during our off season hours, Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday’s from 10am-2pm and we’ll be glad to help out with anything we can!

Quick PSA, for those unaware and scrambling with your 2024 income tax filing. All residents in the states affected by Hurricane Helene have a May 1st filing deadline this year. That includes all Corporations and Partnerships that are normally due on March 15th and all individuals that are normally due on April 15th. That doesn’t mean you should wait until April 30th to start but you do have a little extra time this year.

Update: The injunction filed against this has been reinstated. No need to file unless it changes again. I will keep everyone updated for any future developments.

Reminder for anyone with an LLC, the BOI filing requirements are back on and due by January 13th. It is a pretty simple process done on the website fincen.gov . Unfortunately I was told not to do them because technically it’s considered “practicing law without a license”, but will be happy to try to explain anything anybody needs help with doing it.
