I wanted to reach out and share some information. The State of Missouri passed SB190 "The Homestead Act" last year. This information was sent to the counties to determine how they would proceed with it. I'll just share the basis as each county is handling it differently. Some counties had a deadline hitting soon to apply for this so don't wait to apply.

If you are of age to draw Social Security Retirement and own a home, reach out to your county assessor's office or collector's office to see if you qualify. What this will do for you is freeze your real estate tax at what it was for 2023. Now this has to be applied for every year and will be worth your time.

I want to take a moment to thank all of our clients for entrusting us this season. We still have a lot to do.

We are taking an extended weekend to recuperate this weekend so the office is closed today. We will be back in the office Monday morning.

Reminder that the Missouri minimum wage for 2024 increases January 1st to $12.30 per hour. Tipped employees minimum wage increases to $6.15 per hour.
