Well, another tax season is over. Now come the extentions and late filers. After being in the office until 11:30 last night, I slept in a little this morning.
So I'm up and at it again this morning. You have no idea what my office looks like. If I didn't know better, I'd think someone dropped a bomb. Oh well, it won't take long to clean it. I do have some shredding to do. That's all I have for now. I'll try to do more posting in the future.
I'm hoping everyone is enjoying my picture and quote.

I know this is a trying time for everyone and we are all doing social distancing.
I would like to remind everyone about the new timeline for filing your taxes. You have until July 15th to file without an extension. My office is still open and I am still doing taxes. I have just changed things up a little. You can email me your information to [email protected] or drop off your information at my house. I have a drop off box on the front porch. After I finish your return I will get in touch with you by phone, text, or email to let you know. So what I will need from you is phone number, and email address.

As we all know everyone should be taking extra precautions due to COVID-19. I just wanted to let my clients know I am still able to do your taxes remotely. You can either email or text me your information and not have to leave your home. That doesn't mean I'm not talking appointments, it is just giving you the option if you don't want to leave your house to have your taxes done.

Well everyone here we are in March and for those of you that haven't filed yet give me a call. I still have openings. This has been a busy tax year, but I always have room to get you in.

Well my friends it is again time to start thinking about your taxes. This year I have picked up clients from TN and ALABAMA if you have friends or family that live out of state mention my name to them. No one is out of reach. Have a great holiday season.

Summer is in full swing have a great time with family and friends.
I just finished a webinar about some of the new tax laws for 2018. Very interesting that the IRS has upped the standard deduction, but took away the personal exemptions. No longer will you get the exemption for yourself, spouse, and dependents. Give with one hand and take away with the other. If married filing joint you just get $24,000 as a deduction.
