Filing an extension gives you more time to file your tax return, but it does not give you more time to pay.

Any taxes owed were still due by the original filing deadline, and unpaid balances may continue to accrue penalties and interest.

As we head into extension deadlines, now is a good time to make sure you understand what is still needed to complete your return.

Have questions about your extended return? Give us a call at 913-336-3500!
