✈️ Traveling for business? The IRS has updated its per diem rates for 2026–2027.

Beginning October 1, 2026, new rates take effect for certain business travel expenses, including lodging, meals, and incidental expenses.

Under the IRS high-low method, the new per diem rates are:

📍 $329 per day for high-cost locations
📍 $230 per day for other locations within the continental U.S.

For business owners and employees who travel for work, per diem rates can help simplify recordkeeping and reimbursement for qualifying travel expenses.
