A familiar face is officially joining the IWA team 👀

After spending the summer with us as an intern, Adam has decided to stick around! We're excited to share that he will be continuing with Inspired Wealth Advisors part-time as an Office Professional while he completes his final year at the University of Kentucky.

Apparently, Adam enjoyed working with us as much as we enjoyed working with him, which is great news for everyone involved. 😄

In his new role, Adam will be helping Beth and Elizabeth support our clients and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes while continuing to build toward what we know will be a promising career.

And for anyone worried about missing Adam after internship season—have no fear! If you're in the office on a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, there's a good chance he'll be around to say hello.

From the Office to the Underground 🦇

This weekend, Elizabeth traded spreadsheets for spelunking and headed underground to explore Climax Cave!

Along the way, she encountered bats, cave spiders, crawdads, arthropods, and a surprising amount of life hidden beneath the surface. The adventure included army crawls, tight squeezes, and narrow passages that tested both flexibility and bravery.

Turns out Brittany has a certification we didn't know about.

If you've visited our office, you've probably noticed Brittany's certifications and professional designations hanging on the wall. Years of training, education, and experience have helped her build the knowledge and expertise she brings to our clients every day.

But recently, while admiring those achievements, we noticed a standout certification... A Certificate of Achievement from Hobby Lobby?!?

Apparently, Brittany is so accomplished it's hard to keep track of everything she's done. Somewhere between all the professional designations, advanced training, and industry credentials, we forgot to replace one frame's placeholder paper.

Some people earn industry designations. Others earn recognition for excellence in framing. 🖼️😂

🥫 Better Together: Food Drive 2026 🥫

At Inspired Wealth Advisors, we believe meaningful financial planning and meaningful lives are built the same way—through generosity, relationships, and a community that's better together.

That's why we're excited to kick off our Better Together: Food Drive to help our Appalachian neighbors through Christian Appalachian Project (CAP).

From August 1 through September 22, we're collecting shelf-stable, unexpired food items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, and other pantry staples. The donations will be delivered to CAP as part of their Hunger Walk food collection efforts.

Even better, for every item donated, Thrivent and IWA together will donate $1 to CAP. 👏

Participation is easy:
✅ Bring a few items when you come in for a meeting
✅ Even if you don't have a meeting, stop by to say hello and enjoy a drink, chocolate, and good company
✅ Bring donations to an IWA event, including Leaving a Purposeful Legacy on September 22

Every item makes a difference, and small acts of generosity can make a big impact when we come together as a community.

Beth's Week at the Beach 🌴

Beth recently traded Kentucky for the South Carolina coast, spending a relaxing week in Isle of Palms enjoying the beach, visiting family, and slowing down for a few days.

When we asked Beth to send us a few photos during her vacation, this picture was her response, so we had to wait. 😄

One highlight of the trip was seeing Little Women at Charleston's historic Dock Street Theatre. When asked about her favorite part of the vacation, Beth didn't hesitate—quality time with family, making memories together, and having the chance to recharge.

And while every vacation eventually comes to an end, she's happy to be back in Kentucky, sleeping in her own bed, getting back into a routine, and doing work she loves. (The slightly cooler weather doesn't hurt either!)

🎓 Happy National Intern Day! One last reflection from our interns before they leave. 😢

As our summer internships begin to wind down, we're taking a moment to celebrate Adam Campisano and Gavin Hang and the impact they've made during their time at IWA.

💡 What did they learn?
- Adam shared that the most important thing he learned about finance is that money should be used as a tool to accomplish your goals—not as the goal itself.
- Gavin discovered that finance is about much more than numbers. From taxes to planning, he gained an appreciation for how thoughtful financial decisions help people and organizations prepare for the future.

🤝 How did they grow?
- For Adam, one of the biggest lessons was learning how important relationship-building and interpersonal skills are in a successful career.
- Gavin learned that growth happens when you stay curious, ask questions, and step outside your comfort zone.

😊 Favorite part of the internship?
- Both interns pointed to the people. Adam loved the welcoming culture, team lunches, and opportunity to learn from everyone around him. Gavin shared that the team's support, daily humor, and relationships made every day something he looked forward to.

🚀 What's next?
- Adam is looking forward to graduating from the University of Kentucky next spring.
- Gavin will begin his M.S. in Finance this August and is preparing to take the CFP exam this fall.

We're incredibly grateful for the time Adam and Gavin spent with us this summer and can't wait to see where their careers take them next. Wishing them both the very best in the next chapter of their journey! 👏

Back from the National Women's Advisor Conference🎤

Last week, Brittany had the opportunity to attend the National Women's Advisor Conference, where she not only learned from incredible speakers and advisors from across the country but also took the stage to share insights on AI and the future of financial advice.

While the sessions and speakers were outstanding (including Olympic champion Jessie Diggins), Brittany's biggest takeaway was the community.

From learning and serving together to building new friendships and sharing ideas, the conference was a powerful reminder that we're all better when we continue learning from one another.

A little friendly competition may have been involved as well—apparently WhirlyBall and laser tag brought out some hidden talents. 😄

We're grateful for opportunities like this that allow us to grow, bring fresh ideas back to our team, and better serve the clients and families who place their trust in us every day.

2 Inches Off = Very Different Results ✂️

Recently, both Elizabeth and Adam got haircuts. Elizabeth had about 2 inches trimmed off to clean up some split ends, while Adam went for a summer buzz cut.

Interestingly, they both lost about the same amount of hair—but the results look very different. 😄

It's a good reminder that, just like expenses in a budget, it's not always the raw amount that matters—it's the amount relative to what you started with.

Some changes barely get noticed. Others completely shake things up. 😆
