Don't forget to make out your checks to U.S. Treasury, not IRS. Most returns are filed electronically now but I'm willing to bet there is a post office or two that has late hours today for anyone that wants to mail theirs in.

📣 It's Pancake Week! 🎉 A beloved Ginger Sue's tradition continues this week. Instead of bringing you our usual lineup of specials for the whole week, we are making one special pancake each DAY. We only do this once a year, so make sure to mark your calendar and come in for your favorite!

Yesterday, an alert store clerk noticed an elderly individual at a crypto machine while speaking on the phone and became concerned about the transaction. The clerk intervened and contacted our department for assistance.

When officers arrived and spoke with the individual, they learned the person believed there was a virus on his computer and they were on the phone with someone claiming to be from Microsoft support. The person was being directed to send money as payment. Thanks to the quick actions of the clerk and our officers, the individual was prevented from losing $30,000 to this scam.

We have placed warning signs on all crypto machines in Liberty as a reminder: legitimate businesses, government agencies, and tech support companies will never request payment through crypto machines. If something doesn’t feel right, stop the transaction and call police immediately.

The IRS has opened filing for businesses and will open filing for personal returns on Monday, 1/26/26. We are currently taking appointments, please give a call or email to get on the calendar.

We also have a secure portal you can request a link to (any previous portal links still work) where you can upload your documents securely and we will work on them in order received.
