**Weβre halfway through the year. Is your tax situation still on track?**
Most people think about taxes only when filing season arrives, but the middle of the year is a good time to step back and make sure there are no surprises waiting for you next spring.
A few things worth reviewing now:
β
Have you had a major life change, such as getting married, changing jobs, retiring, or welcoming a new child?
β
Has your income changed significantly since last year?
β
Are you self-employed or receiving income that may require estimated tax payments?
β
Are you keeping your tax and business records organized throughout the year?
β
Are your retirement contributions and overall tax-planning strategy still on track?
β
Is enough being withheld from your paycheck or retirement income?
Small adjustments made during the year can be much easier than trying to fix a problem after December 31.
A mid-year review is a good opportunity to look ahead, ask questions, and make informed decisions while there is still time to act.
