8️⃣4️⃣6️⃣💸 Refund Issued codes are officially updating.

As refunds begin releasing, here are important reminders:

1️⃣ Tax professionals prepare and file accurate returns. We do not control IRS processing timelines.
So If you don’t see an 846 yet; RELAX, more batches are coming.
2️⃣ Refund advances are deducted first by the funding bank. The transcript will not reflect the full originally calculated refund. They will get their money before you see yours‼️
3️⃣ Tax preparation fees are deducted before disbursement as well so PLEASE DON’T ACT SURPRISED‼️
4️⃣ If the IRS offsets (student loans, child support, etc.) that does not eliminate your obligation for preparation fees. Your prep Fees will still be DUE‼️
5️⃣ Use your refund strategically; eliminate debt, build savings, or invest in assets that will improve your financial position‼️

Use your tax refund as tool, to make a better lifestyle not a temporary lifestyle upgrade‼️

Move with intention.
Build with discipline.
& Win long-term.💸

🚨 IRS TRANSCRIPT CODES — MADE SIMPLE 🚨
GlassHouse Taxes | Done Fast | Done Right | Done Best

IRS transcript codes tell the story of your return. Here’s what each one means ⬇️

💰 846 — Refund Issued
Your refund has been released and sent, or a payment date has been scheduled.

⏸️ 570 — Processing Hold
The IRS has temporarily paused your return while reviewing information.

📬 971 — IRS Notice Sent
A notice was issued explaining a delay or requesting additional documents. This code often appears with 570.

🔍 424 — Return Under Review
Your return was selected for examination or appeals review.

❌ 425 — Review Closed
The IRS has canceled or completed the prior review request.

🔒 810 — Refund Freeze
A more serious review is required. No refund will be issued until the issue is resolved.

🔓 811 — Freeze Removed
The IRS review is complete and the refund hold has been lifted.

💳 826 — Refund Offset
All or part of your refund was applied to an outstanding balance, such as child support, student loans, or prior tax debt.

✨ 768 — Earned Income Tax Credit Added
The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) has been applied to your account.

✅ 177 — Penalty Removed
A previously assessed estimated tax penalty has been cleared.

🏢 091 — Business Tax Status Change
Applies to business entities only. Indicates a small business tax classification has been revoked (not related to individual refunds).

📝 Important Reminder:
IRS transcript codes are informational — not automatic bad news. They show the current stage of your return. Always review codes together for the full picture, not one at a time.

📌 Let’s talk about the refund “hold” everyone asks about every year!

If you’re claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) 💰 or Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) 👶🏾 and wondering why the IRS doesn’t release refunds until after February 15 ⏳ here’s the real reason, explained simply.

Years ago, these credits were heavily abused 🚫
People claimed children they didn’t qualify for, inflated income, or submitted false information to get larger refunds. Because of that, the IRS stepped in and said: “We’re slowing this down.”

Now, every return that includes EITC or ACTC is required by law to go through extra review 🔍 before refunds are released.

👉🏾 This does NOT mean you did anything wrong.
👉🏾 It’s about protecting the system.

Think of it like this 🧠:
If a store had repeated theft in one area, they’d add more security there. Same idea.

So when you hear, “My neighbor already got their refund” 😒 the difference is usually those credits.

✔️ Returns without EITC/ACTC = faster
⛔ Returns with EITC/ACTC = legally held until mid-February

And let’s be very clear 👇🏾
🚫 It’s Not your tax preparer
🚫 It’s Not the bank
🚫 It’s Not the tax office

✅ This is IRS policy.

It’s frustrating, we know 😩 but understanding the process helps keep expectations realistic and stress LOW during tax season.

Tax time is Near‼️‼️

03/14/2025

Tax Season isn’t Quite Over, so here’s a few tips‼️

Reminder 1- filing your tax return does not guarantee that your refund will be processed or deposited within a specific timeframe.

This could be why your refund is delayed:

📌 IRS Processing Times Vary – While most refunds are issued within 21 days, delays can occur due to reviews, errors, or pending items.

📌Additional Reviews & Audits – Some returns require extra verification, especially if you’re claiming credits like the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or Child Tax Credit (CTC).

📌 Bank & Direct Deposit Delays – Once the IRS releases your refund, your bank may require extra time to process and post the deposit.

📌 Errors & Missing Information – Inaccuracies or missing details often causes processing delays while the IRS may make corrections or requests additional information.

🚨 Plan ahead! If you’re counting on your refund for bills or other expenses, remember that the timing isn’t guaranteed. To help avoid delays, file accurately and allow the IRS time to process your return.

Tax Tips! Save Time This Tax Season

Itemized Deductions (ID)vs
Standard deduction(SD)

I’m going to break this down so you all can understand for those that don’t quite understand.

An ITEMIZED DEDUCTION is like individual coupon codes for each item you wish to claim on your taxes - they can potentially reduce the amount of income you pay taxes on. The amount is solely based on the total of each item collectively. 🤔

A STANDARD DEDUCTION is the government’s coupon code. It’s one set amount no matter what! And guess what everyone with the same filing status gets the same amount🤯

However, the IRS says you can’t pick to use both options. And depending on what you have as an ID; it maybe to your best advantage to take the SD.

Types of itemized deductions:
🩺 Medical bills/ copayments out of pocket
💊Prescription out of pocket payment
🦷 Dental bills/copayments - out of pocket
👖👚Charitable donation - must have the FMV
💰Tithes - Must have your church form.
🏠Real Estate Taxes
🧾 Sales Tax
State and Local Taxes paid.

And depending on your filing status all of these items combined must exceed the governments “coupon” standard deduction amount.

Single filers your SD is $15k
Head of Household your SD is $22,500
Married Filing Jointly your SD is $30k
Married Filing Separately your SD is $15k

Why did I sit and type of all this… because if your donation receipts, your tithes, and medical copays don’t exceed these number please don’t waste your time or your tax pros time gathering them documents.

Take the government’s “coupon” PLEASE!!
