DISASTER RELIEF FOR THE STATE OF ARKANSAS AND WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOU!

𝑭𝒆𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑻𝒂𝒙

The tax relief postpones various federal tax filing and federal payment deadlines that occurred in the State of Arkansas from April 2, 2025, through Nov. 3, 2025 (postponement period). As a result, affected individuals and businesses will have until Nov. 3, 2025, to file returns and pay any taxes that were originally due during this period. The Secretary of the Department of Finance and Administration provided relief to extend the 2024 income tax filing date and income tax payment date and 2024 pass through entity tax filing date and pass-through entity tax payment date from April 15, 2025, to July 31, 2025, for those citizens who reside or whose businesses are located in the affected counties. This extension includes 2024 returns of Individuals, Subchapter S Corporations, C Corporations, Pass-Through Entities, Fiduciaries and Estates, Partnerships, and Composite returns. Filing deadline for residents in PULASKI, LONOKE & CROSS Counties has been automatically extended to July 31st for federal and Arkansas returns due to disaster relief. This also provides relief for tax payments as well.

The 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒖𝒆 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆 announced on April 3, 2023, that individuals and households affected by severe storms and tornadoes that reside or have a business in Cross, Lonoke, and Pulaski counties qualify for tax relief, now have until 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟑𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑, to file various federal individual and business tax returns and make tax payments. On April 4, 2023, Arkansas Governor Sanders has signed an executive order to extend the individual state filing deadline - The Secretary of the 𝑫𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑭𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑨𝒅𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 is hereby ordered to extend the 2022 individual income tax filing date and individual income tax payment date from April 18, 2023, to 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟑𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑, for those citizens living in Pulaski, Lonoke, and Cross counties. This extension includes 2022 returns of Subchapter S Corporations, fiduciaries and estates, partnerships, composite returns, and tax payments to include estimates payments.
