It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved colleague and dear friend, John Barnes.
John was so much more than a financial advisor—he was a trusted partner, a mentor, and a genuinely kind soul who touched the lives of so many. His dedication to his clients and passion for service have enriched our team for many years. We are heartbroken by this loss.
From the inception of their partnership several decades ago, it was always the plan that Tammy would one day carry the torch forward—whether through John’s retirement or another life transition. While none of us imagined it would come in this form, we take comfort in knowing a succession plan was always in place to continue the exceptional level of service the Barnes East Group has always demonstrated.
We know how much John meant to many of you—not just as your advisor, but as someone who truly cared about people. Please know that his legacy will continue through the work we do every day. Our team remains fully committed to providing you with the same level of personal service, professionalism, and care that we have always exemplified. As always, we are a phone call away.
Thank you for the trust you’ve placed in our team. We are honored to carry on John’s memory with the same heart and integrity he brought to our team. Our friend will be missed, always.
A service in remembrance of John will be held this Friday, July 18th, at 2:00 pm at Roller Funeral Home at 13801 Chenal Pkwy, Little Rock, AR 72211. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St James United Methodist Church or Pulaski Technical College
