A recent question from clients:
Is AI on the same path as the Dot-Com Bubble of 2000?

It’s a fair question. Comparisons between artificial intelligence and the dot-com era are understandable—both represent transformative technologies that generated significant investor enthusiasm. Many investors still remember how painful the early 2000s downturn was after the hype faded.

One key difference today is the emphasis on revenue, cash flow, and real-world adoption. Much of the current AI growth is being driven by established companies with existing business models and measurable demand across multiple industries. In contrast, many internet companies in the late 1990s had limited earnings and unproven paths to profitability, even as valuations climbed.
That said, excitement around any emerging technology can lead to volatility.

At Savvy Advisors, our approach doesn’t change based on headlines or trends. We stay focused on fundamentals, thoughtful diversification, and long-term discipline. Technology will continue to evolve—but our commitment to prudent, research-driven investing remains the same.
