IR-2024-04, Jan. 8, 2024 — The Internal Revenue Service today announced Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, as the official start date of the nation’s 2024 tax season when the agency will begin accepting and processing 2023 tax returns.

Due to changes to tax laws last March 2021, while we were in the middle of the 2020 Income Tax Filing season, you may receive letters from the IRS with regard to adjustments made in line with the pandemic laws. Please keep all IRS letters and make a note of all refunds or credits that they may send you by direct deposit or check. This way, we can review them for the 2021 Income Tax Filing season and make adjustments as needed. We can also provide you a free review of your 2020 Income Tax Returns to make sure you get all credits and refunds legally possible. We can help you file an amendment if needed for a nominal fee. Just 3 more weeks left to file your 2020 income taxes! Please collect all your tax documents and contact me asap! Due to covid-19, we encourage you to send your documents in advanced via text, fax or email (if you have less than 10 pages of tax docs). When your tax returns are processed, we can schedule a quick finalization appointment in-person or via phone call. This way we are limiting the number of people in the office for health and safety reasons. Looking forward to hearing from you and serving you, your family, co-workers and friends! Here at Mendoza Tax, our tax preparation fees are very reasonable. We base it off of the work we need to perform for each of our client’s unique needs. It is never dependent on our client’s tax refund. Today, we received these yummy gifts from our client because they were overly grateful that we charged them the same tax preparation fees as last year. 2019 refund was $789. 2020 refund was $5,896. 2019 tax prep fee is $100. 2020 tax prep fee is $100. The amount of work was the same last year and this year. We are a solution company and we treat you like family 👌
