NEW - Car Interest deduction

From 2025 to 2028, taxpayers can deduct up to $10,000 in interest paid on a new personal car loan.
Qualifying criteria:
• The vehicle must be purchased between December 31, 2024, and January 1, 2029.
• It must be a new vehicle for personal use, not used, leased, or primarily for business.
• Eligible vehicles include cars, minivans, vans, SUVs, pickup trucks, or motorcycles under 14,000 pounds GVWR.
• Final assembly must be in the United States, which can be checked on the window sticker or via the NHTSA VIN Decoder.
• The interest must be from a loan secured by a lien on the vehicle from a qualified lender.
