Your budget didn't fail because you're bad with money.
Let me say that again — because somebody needs to hear it today.
Groceries are up 25% since 2020.

Housing is up 44%.

The average household now needs about $77,000 a year just to cover basic living expenses.
Your paycheck didn't go up 44%.
And if you're a single parent managing this on one income — the median income for a single-parent household is around $39,000 a year.
Against $77,000 in basic living expenses.
That math was never going to work. That is not a discipline problem. That is a gap problem.
So no. A budget alone is not going to fix a systemic squeeze.
But here's what it CAN do.
It can show you exactly where every dollar is going so nothing disappears without your permission.
It can protect what matters most when everything is tight.
It can give you one thing the economy cannot take from you — clarity.
That's The F.A.I.T.H. Method™.
Not a fix for a broken system.

A foundation for surviving it with your peace intact.

I've been gone for a while. And honestly? Part of the reason I couldn't bring myself to post is because so much of what gets shared in the finance space right now feels completely tone deaf to what people are actually going through.

"Save more. Invest. Cut back. Coupon."

Come on.

I have had conversation after conversation after conversation — with clients, with people in my community, with everyday people just trying to make it work. And the theme is the same every single time.

This economy is crushing people.

Not just struggling people. Not just people who made bad decisions. Good people. People making really good money. People doing everything right. The gas prices. The groceries. The mortgage. The bills. It is touching everyone — and I mean everyone.

And I just couldn't sit here and post "5 tips to save at the grocery store" like that's going to fix what's happening right now.

Because yes — saving matters. Investing matters. Budgeting matters. I believe that with everything in me. That's literally why I do this work.

But when does it end? When does the relief actually come?

I don't have a magic answer. But what I do know is this — you should not be carrying this alone, and you should not be ashamed that you're struggling. Because this is bigger than you.

I'm back. And I'm here to have the real conversations.

I'm currently working with two families right now.

One is a husband and wife with two kids. The other is a single mom with two kids.

Both of them are making good money. We're talking around $90K a year.

That sounds like a lot. Until you do the math.

$90K a year is roughly $7,500 a month before taxes. After taxes, you're taking home somewhere between $5,000 to $6,000.

And a family of four in Northern Colorado right now needs close to $6,500 a month just to cover the basics.

Do you see the problem?

They've tried DoorDash. Uber. Instacart. Just about every side hustle the internet tells you to try. And it's still not enough to close that gap.

They're learning budgeting basics and working hard to build a budget around their family size — but you still have to factor in the mortgage, the bills, groceries that keep going up, and all the other essentials. That adds up fast.

And honestly? This is what I hear on almost every clarity call I do. That first 30 minutes with a new client — so much of it comes back to the same thing.

This economy is hard. Full stop.

This isn't a discipline problem. This isn't a "cut back on lattes" situation. The economy moved. Their income didn't.

That's exactly what The F.A.I.T.H. Method is built for — helping you build clarity, release the shame around money, and create a plan for the life you're actually living right now.

If this is your story — you are not failing. You are navigating something really hard. And you don't have to do it alone.
