New tariff relief funding is available for New York agricultural producers.

The New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets has launched the Agricultural Resiliency Against Tariffs Program, a $30 million program to help eligible producers offset increased costs and market losses tied to federal tariff policies. Direct payments may range from $1,000 to $25,000, with applications due by August 11, 2026.

Because eligibility includes an income certification requirement, producers should connect with their CPA or financial advisor before applying. Learn more: https://okt.to/14Bx37

Applications are due Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

Thanks to Lacy Pitts for her insights on Monday’s Pinion Political Intelligence Briefing discussing issues critical to U.S. ag. Special thanks to Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. for his leadership on behalf of American farmers.

Lacy indicated that they are working hard to get a farm bill passed and she is hopeful they will get the bill passed this year. She also discussed The Homegrown Fertilizer Act, bipartisan legislation that Senator Marshall introduced with Senator Klobuchar to boost domestic fertilizer production to help address high fertilizer prices.

The USDA's move toward "One Farmer, One File" isn't just a policy update — it’s a signal.

Acreage reporting is becoming more connected, more digital… and less forgiving of manual workarounds.

The growers who benefit most won’t just comply — they’ll build a digital baseline that pays off year after year.

That’s where the MyAgData tool comes in.

✅Easier updates when acreage details change
✅Less time spent re-entering data
✅More accurate reporting across the board
✅Meets the new digital reporting requirement

Pinion is partnering with MyAgData to help farmers simplify and modernize acreage and crop reporting to the USDA.
